HUNT WRITE UP BY RICH BEUS
WHAT TO EXPECT
Hunting waterfowl in the State that has the highest population density in the U.S can provide for some amazing backdrops and phenomenal wing shooting! Waterfowl frequent these salt tidal marshes that give way to historic seaside resorts such as Cape May and Atlantic City.
EarHunting can take place from boats, layout boats, and from shore. Successfully hunting these tidal marshes is heavily dependent on tide flows and weather conditions.
Weather can range from warm and calm to lots of precipitation, wind, and cold temperatures, so paying close attention to weather forecasts is a must.
Species WE targeted while hunting these tidal marshes:
Atlantic Brant
Black Duck
Red Breasted Merganser
Greater/Lesser Scaup
Many other species can be acquired while hunting New Jersey depending on location, season dates, and other factors.
RED BREASTED Merganser / Atlantic brant / black duck / greater and lesser scaup / old squaw / bufflehead
