HUNT WRITE UP BY BRADY DAVIS
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Gem State of Idaho is another well kept secret in waterfowl. Idaho has more river miles than any other state in the lower 48, which means it has open water all year round. Open water and feed mean one thing: birds. With the Snake River being the most well known, it’s also one of the most hunted areas, but still remains lightly pressured. Ducks and geese use this area to rest and migrate in massive quantities. Idaho also recently opened a Spring conservation season on geese, making Idaho an even more appealing state to hunt in.
