WHAT TO EXPECT
The first place I ever field hunted and my second home. Montana has some of the best Canada Goose hunting in the country in my opinion but you better be willing to handle temps in the negatives. Hunting the rivers you can find a bit more verity of birds and if it’s a slow day of waterfowling, just pick up the pole and Fish “The old Cast n Blast” you call it. One of my favorites past times.
Mid-Season
Weather expected to be moderate, temps in the mid 30’s, 10- 15 MPH winds and slight chance of precipitation or snow
Traveling to hunting spots will be by truck and foot, drift boat on rivers
Targeted Species= Tundra Swan, Canada Goose, Mallard, Goldeneye, Sandhill Crane
Secondary Species= Widgeon, Greater and Lesser Scaup, Canvasback
Hunting will be out of eld blinds and shore blinds for hun ng the river
